Why Doodles
One of Life Steps Foundation’s most cherished core values is creativity. We have relied heavily on our creativity over the past 30 years in not only providing innovative services to Californian’s living with disabilities, but also in raising funds to support these services.
Given California is home to arguably some of the most creative people in the world, we felt it only natural to reach out to them in a creative manner. In 1992 we began collecting doodles for our first Day of the Doodle Auction. Twenty years later we are still embracing the creative spirit and have expanded our auction to include other items as well.
How Doodles Help
All funds raised at the Doodle for Disabilities auction will go towards providing supportive services for children, families, adults and seniors with developmental, emotional and physical disabilities.

Scribbling is not doodling, because scribbles are marks made in haste or by an uncertain hand. Doodling, by contrast, is beyond craft and criticism; it belongs to us all…” -Matthew Battles
