Allen C. Haile

Allen C. Haile has served as the Director of Community and Government Relations for California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo since 1994. He previously served as the Dean of the College of Business for the University. Haile's experiences include Secretarial Representative for the U.S. Department of Commerce, adjunct and associate professorships with Golden Gate University, and Vice President for Urban Affairs for Pepperdine University. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.

His extensive community activities include serving on the Board of Directors for The San Francisco Education Fund, Larkin Street Youth Center, and Planned Parenthood of San Francisco and Alameda counties, and as a member of the San Luis Obispo County Children's Services Network and the San Luis Obispo County Economic Advisory Committee. Haile also was the past president of the San Francisco Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce and a U.S. panelist for the Joint U.S.-Japan Forum for Philippine Progress. A decorated Vietnam War veteran, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, and seven air medals, Haile retired as an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel.
