Accounting Division

Life Steps Foundation's Accounting division handles multiple funding streams in a $12 million yearly budget and has sound, secure fiscal management.  This centralized division undergoes audits yearly by state and local funding sources as well as by an independent auditor.  The Accounting division, consisting of six employees including the Controller, applies sound accounting practices that have passed all state and federal auditing requirements and makes full use of electronic as well as manual reporting systems.

Funding for programs comes from local, state, and federal sources, as well as private foundations and fund raising activities. Many of the programs offered require quarterly visits, reports, and evaluations. Life Steps Foundation, Inc. is one of the few social service agencies in California licensed as a MediCal provider for disadvantaged families, therefore positioning itself to be an integral part of the California managed care system.
