Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Description

The Early Intervention program seeks a occupational therapist to serve its clients in the Whittier and Santa Ana areas.  The occupational therapist provides occupational therapy services to infants, who participate in Life Steps' in-home program, from birth to 3 years old.  Occupational therapists use their skills, knowledge and judgment to consult about and produce—collaboratively with the infant's families, primary caregivers and other service providers—appropriate individual program plans.  Occupational therapists also work with families to identify and respond to infants' developmental needs and progress.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited school for occupational therapy
  • Licensed by the Occupational Therapy Examining Committee of the California Medical Board
  • One year of experience working with infants
  • Good communication skills in working with families and staff
  • Recent health exam
  • TB clearance
  • Current certification in CPR and in first aid
  • Fingerprint check
  • Valid California driver's license and current automobile insurance
