Class B Driver

Job Description

Transport participants to and from the adult day health care center in a timely manner.   Complete daily maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers.  Document all transports in the transportation log.  Upon completing the transportation schedule, the driver may perform other tasks during the interim between morning and afternoon transportation routes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience transporting individuals who require paratransit services.
• Class B driver's license.
• Knowledgeable in wheelchair tie-downs and in all aspects of participant and highway safety.
• Good driving record.
• Experience working with the frail elderly, with the developmentally disabled, and with individuals who have Alzheimer's disease is preferred.
