
Administrative Assistant
Who We Are. Since 1983, Life Steps Foundation has been a leader in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers in California who have or are at risk of having developmental delays. Our task is to help each family maximize its child’s potential. Because each child is unique, program plans and activities are specifically designed to meet each child’s needs.
Job Summary
- Office duties: telephone reception, printing, filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, label making, mail preparation, etc.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
- Assist with meetings; take notes; order and pick up food.
- Sign for deliveries and packages; sort and distribute mail accordingly.
- Contact vendors regarding billing or other issues.
- Support program manager by providing administrative support.
Experience
- Has at least six months to one year of related office support experience.
- Can handle multiple tasks.
- Has high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Has strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
- Is flexible regarding work schedule.
- Is proficient in PC skills: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and / or other software or database skills.
- Proficient with the Internet.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.
- High school education or equivalent; some college experience preferred.
- Is organized and flexible; has good work ethic; uses good common sense; is detail-oriented.
Other Requirements
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
